The 2024 Reining Alberta Annual General Meeting will be held on Saturday, March 30th – 5:30pm at the Calnash Ag Center in conjunction with the 2024 Train the Trainer weekend.

March 28 & 29 – NON PRO Clinic with NRHA Professional Trent Harvey of Collinsville TX.
Trent became an NRHA Professional in 2014 and now specializes in Derby, Futurity, Non Pro and Youth reining horses.
Non Pros wishing to participate must have more than $1500 in NRHA earnings
March 30 & 31 – OPEN Rider Clinic with NRHA Professional Kole Price of Pilot Point, TX.
Kole was the Level 3 NRHA Futurity Champion on Shez Got Addy Tude and had earnings over $575 000….Kole specializes in Futurity and Derby horses.

The following conditions must be met to be eligible to participate.
- Riders must be a current Reining Alberta in good standing.
- To participate in the Non Pro Clinic – riders must have NRHA earnings of $1500 or more
- To participate in the Open Clinic – riders must not hold an NRHA or RA “non pro or youth” card or be considered a Non Pro with any other association.
- The number of rider spots is determined by the organizing committee. The spots will be filled on a first-come, first-serve basis with confirmed payment.
- Open riders who were judges/clinicians with the South Branch and/or Youth clinic events in 2023 will be given priority for placement.

30 Year Celebration
30 years since our Founding Members created Reining Alberta Society and what a great organization it is! We were honored to be able to personally thank a great number of these Founding Members at the Electric Snow Spring Classic. In attendance was Karen Anderson, JP Forget, Pernell Fleck, Garry Boan, Lynne Hoff, Joan Girletz, Wayne Latimer and LouAnn Redden (pictured left to right). The founding members that were unable to attend include Rhonda Miller, Dallas Short (for Kevin Pole), Arnie Hines and Terry Dansereau. We would like to take the opportunity to once again let them know how much we appreciate the hours and dedication it took to create Reining Alberta.
Membership Secrets to Judging Seminar
This one day seminar is a great way to get the finer details of how the judges score each maneuver and how you can improve your scoring.
It was great to have Bub Poplin here on March 5th, 2023 to teach our members about the ins and outs of scoring and what the judges are looking for.
